Our Foundation

DHN & Co was founded in 2014 by Darrin Noel, an experienced business leader and recognised expert in recovery and turnaround of distressed businesses and projects across the global resources and heavy industry sectors.

Driven by the shared value of strong business relationships, Darrin believed in working as an
extension of his client’s operations to embed best practice disciplines in the developments of
sustainable solutions in connecting business strategy and operational success.

Darrin noel

Darrin is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in the resource and construction sectors, having worked for and consulted with global companies across Australia, Asia-Pacific, North America and EMEA. 

Throughout his career, Darrin has played a pivotal role in the development of major infrastructure projects spanning resource extraction, renewable energy, ports and marine, and public utilities. Darrin excels at transforming businesses facing challenging environments. His innovative strategies and deep understanding of complex industries have driven sustainable growth and successful business turnarounds, establishing his reputation in corporate governance and business transformation.

As the Managing Director of DHN & Co, Darrin’s hands-on approach ensures that he is deeply involved in each and every client project. He actively oversees his team, providing professional development, guidance, and support to ensure that commitments are met, and projects stay on track. His passion for the industry and commitment to bespoke, tangible business performance initiatives and tools are central to his work.

Outside of his professional life, Darrin enjoys a more tranquil pace on his farm in the hills of Adelaide, South Australia. He loves off-the-grid camping adventures with his grandchildren and takes pleasure in exploring remote communities where the DHN & Co team operate. Committed to giving back, Darrin sits on several Advisory Boards and passionately supports the development of young professionals in South Australia through mentoring and speaking engagements at local universities.

Hubert Hanjause Namani is the Country Director (PNG) at DHN & Co, where he delivers strategic advice and guidance to drive success in Papua New Guinea’s dynamic market. With over 22 years of experience in law, business, and entrepreneurship, Hubert offers expert guidance across sectors including aviation, mining, petroleum, banking, and finance.

At DHN & Co, Hubert provides tailored advice in business strategy, leveraging his deep legal and regulatory expertise to foster growth and innovation. He is also the Principal of Namani & Associates, a law firm he founded in 2009, known for its expertise in corporate, commercial, and litigation matters. Additionally, Hubert is the founder of Namani Capital Partners, a firm focused on capital markets and business development in Papua New Guinea.

Hubert’s leadership extends to key national roles, including President of the PNG Law Society, Deputy Chairman of the National Capital District Provincial Health Authority, and Non-Executive Director of Kapit Agor Tumil Ltd, a Landowner Company in the Lihir Group of Islands in PNG’s the New Ireland Province. He also served as Chief Commissioner of the PNG Accident Investigation Commission, enhancing safety standards in the aviation sector.

With strong affiliations across business and legal networks, including the PNG Chamber of Mines & Petroleum, PNG Business Council, and Indigenous Business Council, Hubert is a leading figure in Papua New Guinea’s business and legal communities, committed to advancing the nation’s economic growth.
