Red Lake, Ontario, Canada.
We are seeking an experienced Projects Safety Coordinator to lead safety culture of multiple contractors on remote mine sites.
Working within a remote environment, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety-first culture across site activities, supporting contractor management, risk mitigation and project compliance while working closely with the client, contractors and site leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigation processes
- Provide expert advice on high-risk construction activities
- Facilitate contractor auditing and compliance processes
- Coordinate the collection and review of contractor safety reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project safety reports
- Promote and support a proactive workplace health and safety culture across all project activities
- Support site teams and contractors to ensure alignment with project safety requirements and procedures
The ideal candidate will bring:
Formal qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety. A recognized Canadian Safety Certification will be highly regarded.
Experience in a construction environment, preferably within the resource, energy or industrial sectors.
Exceptional work ethic with a focus on teamwork and delivering outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
An advanced understanding and commitment to workplace health & safety culture.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working FIFO rosters and remote site environments
This role operates on a FIFO 15/13 roster from major Canadian centres, supporting projects in the Red Lake, Ontario region, recognised for its rich mining history and remote operational environments.
