Field Engineer – Civil
Red Lake, Ontario, Canada | FIFO 15/13 roster
We are seeking an experienced professional to support the delivery of major mining infrastructure projects in North West Ontario.
Operating in a dynamic remote environment as part of the Owner’s Team, you will provide technical coordination, quality oversight and field engineering support across civil construction activities, with a particular focus on mining infrastructure and tailings storage construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support construction and project controls teams with sound engineering and technical guidance
* Review and assess supplier methodologies and contractor works for compliance with project specifications
* Coordinate quality control activities in accordance with project procedures, quality plans and inspection and test plans
* Manage technical interfaces between clients, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders
* Assist with the preparation and coordination of technical reporting for project leadership teams
* Support safe and efficient delivery of civil infrastructure works across site
* Contribute to a collaborative, safety-first project culture within remote site operations
The ideal candidate will bring:
✓ A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (P.Eng. certification would be an asset)
✓ Experience within mining, construction, resource, energy or industrial environments
✓ Strong field engineering experience, preferably within an Owner’s Team or client-side environment
✓ Experience in mining civil infrastructure construction, with tailings storage and construction experience highly regarded
✓ Broad understanding of project delivery across multiple phases of the project lifecycle
✓ Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management capability
✓ Previous experience working FIFO rosters
✓ A collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to safety, quality and delivery outcomes
This role operates on a 15/13 FIFO roster from major Canadian centres, supporting projects in Red Lake, Ontario – a region known for its rich mining history and stunning landscapes.
